Since April 2003 to February 2016 the Charity has carried out 74,801 trips.
Our volunteer drivers travelled 1,345,680miles and helped 7,778 children.
Transport for Sick Children volunteer drivers donate their time and provide lifts for children, accompanied by their carers, to hospital and other medical appointments. The volunteer will then wait or return once the appointment or treatment is completed, and take the child and their carers back home.
Are YOU able to make a donation towards our work?
A donation of £10, allows us to reimburse our volunteer drivers for taking a family 24miles.
Examples of return trips:
From Bury Town Centre to Royal Manchester Children’s hospital is 38miles.
From Oldham Town Centre to Royal Manchester Children’s hospital is 20miles.
Stockport Town Centre to Royal Manchester Children’s hospital 11miles.
